Inspired by Connection: The Story Behind Our 2025 Institute Logo

Updated: Oct 16

As we prepare for the upcoming Restorative Justice Institute, taking place November 13–15, 2025, we are excited to share the story behind this year’s event logo.

The design was inspired by the Signal Hill star, a familiar beacon overlooking St. John’s and a symbol of connection, communication, and shared direction. Signal Hill has long represented a place where messages travel across distance and community. This legacy feels deeply aligned with the work of Relationships First Newfoundland & Labrador.

Our 2025 Institute logo reflects the relational framework that grounds all of RFNL’s work, symbolizing how relationship offers both direction and hope as we navigate the challenges of learning, living, and leading together.

Join us for this year’s Institute, Trauma-Informed Restorative Justice for Healthier Schools, Communities, and Systems in Newfoundland & Labrador, as we explore how understanding trauma, belonging, and relational practice can transform our systems and ourselves.
